Skip the swab

To use a swab to get rid of ear wax has an opposite effect. Tops just remove the ear wax farthest out. The rest of it is crowding into a plug of wax. At least it is what doctor Brynjulf Barexstein says to the Norwegian paper KK (according to the Swedish magazine Må Bra).

Also, the swab irritates the ear canal and for this reason, it produces even more ear wax.

Hmm... for me, it itches from time to time in the ear canal... and for that reason swabs are perfect.
